Been a little while since our last Fantasy Football Whats On Tap, because I have been extremely busy with the Mock Drafts, the draft database and the rookie draft round tables. I am going to try and get these posted on a more consistent basis going forward.
I’ve spent the past few days scrubbing the internet for NFL rookie draft info to use in my ongoing rookie drafts (most of my Dynasty Leagues have their rookie draft immediately following the announcement of each year’s Mr. Irrelevant).
Below the jump are some articles that may interest you.
- Fantasy Football TAP no. 1 -
This article is from Fantasyknuckleheads and it discusses the top IDP rookie linebackers in this years NFL draft. The writer goes into detail on how each player will lineup in their team’s defense, how many downs he should be playing, and much more. Great read for IDP players.

I normally hate looking at rankings that are strictly a player list, especially for rookies, I greatly prefer rankings where the writer shares the “why” he assigned the players their rankings. This article from NFL Soup ranks the top 30 NFL rookies and goes into great detail on why he has them in the order he does.
- Fantasy Football TAP no. 3 -
Have a dynasty league start up draft on your horizon? This article is a must read: Dynasty League Football. The writer breaks down the top rookies from the 2012 NFL draft and ranks them in which round you should start targeting them in your draft.
- Fantasy Football TAP no. 4 -
I was asked this past week what I thought about some crappy league management software the commish wanted to use in place of myfantasyleague.com. My comment: “If you want me to play in this league you need to change the software.” Ever since I started playing fantasy football I have used all the league software options, from ESPN (hate you, just get back to showing us the games), Yahoo, Fanball, CBS, and many more. Nothing compares to MyFantasyleague.com. I’ve played there for many, many years and typically form a new league every year, using their software, because its that good. I’m not going to change in 2012. Follow them on Twitter: @myfantasyleague

What will help rookie quarterback Andrew Luck as he works his way out from Peyton Manning’s gargantuan shadow? A TE security blanket never hurts, right? The Colts snagged his favorite college target in tight end Coby Fleener. This article from Pro Football Weekly describes what type of player Coby Fleener can be this coming season.
